Because I am CrAzY...

Aaron proposed on January 9th at Hermit Island and on January 12th I was calling Hermit Island to book the Kelp Shed, I can not even begin to describe my LoVe for Hermit Island and that Kelp Shed. Most every fabulous, fun, unforgettable memory has to do with that place, no matter the season!  I called so quickly because I knew they would not rent out the Kelp Shed during season leaving me only a few dates to choose from, Sept 13th was my first choice, that was TAKEN the Friday before my call, so after much thought on cost and time I booked September 19th.  Pretty cool I thought got engaged on 1-9-09 and married on 9-19-09...but I have been in complete agony over my choice ever since.  I really want pictures of Aaron and I at sunset on my favorite beach, I didn't really want a sit down meal of any sortbut definitely many cocktails, I really don't want to give up nice days during the summer in Maine for things like bridal showers and bachelorette parties (rude I know)...The point I am getting as is today is the day I will make my final decision...June 13th or September 19th??? The sun sets on the 13th of June at 8:43 pm, perfect for a beach wedding, pictures at sunset and cocktails to celebrate.  Here is an image of a super fun RSVP I found during my early morning lurking on this blog.

Visiting the past...

 On Sunday I went up to my parents to care for my Dad while my Mom went out for a few hours.  He is so happy to be home again, and we are happy that he is finally home again.  I am sure that the adjustment to being home along with allowing people in his beloved basement that he can no longer go in has to be so hard on him.  I am proud of him for dealing with it as well as he is.  In light of some further modifications to their house we must clean out a portion of their basement for more tools.  He had me sit down in front of him to discuss some things that he wanted me to take that day...my school papers, my old cards (separated by year) and a box of old lunchboxes.  It was so much fun to go through my old birthday and holiday cards, I never would have thought that my Dad keeping those would have been as special to me as it is!  Pictures of my favorites will come in the future.  I have yet to go through the old school papers, I am excited to do so.  Check out these lunchboxes: I love that he kept them, now what should I do with them!

This weekend I promised I would prepare to receive upwards of 200 pairs of jeans my Dad has saved over the years.  He always wanted me to make a quilt out of the back pockets and he was going to make a braided rug, with my Great Grandmothers braided rug loom? (no idea what it is called) out of the rest.  He would now like me to do both.  I think a braided rug out of jeans is a pretty neat idea!  I did make my camera strap on Monday, for my first try I think it came out pretty good. 

 

I may make another using my new Amy Butler Lotus Moon Tangerine Dots fabric I got in the mail Monday. 

   

After the Rose...

We watched parts of some of these episodes along the way.  As some of you already know I really dig what I refer to as smut tv.  We (Aaron & I) think that ABC paid Jason a whole lot of $$$ to dump Molly, cry so passionately, propose to Melissa...wait 6 weeks...dump Melissa on After the Rose, cry again so passionately (like he really cared) and finally beg for Molly's forgiveness saying his feelings never changed.  What is wrong with love and relationships these days?  Really!!!

Another Snow Day...What will I do if I don't have to work...

What to do?  What to do?  I have been thinking about that and decided I should...

 

This area of our bedroom has been bugging me for a good long time, every time I start to clean it up and organize it, I stop, and after I stop, I throw more crap on it...leading to another mess.  I think today is the day I will organize it!

 

What else would I like to do, make a camera strap slipcover, they are lovely and so much fun!  This one is on etsy sold by Shealynn in her Etsy shop.  So darn cute!  She has so many different styles, I want them all!  I have some turquoise tiny polka dot fabric that I got from my Gram's stock pile, I think I may use that.
